Marjorie’s top choice

My little paradise, a haven of peace between the sea and nature.

The Bonnettes beach is located 7 km from Toulon, and is very easy to access by following the Corniche du Mourillon coast road. It is a beach of about 150 meters long, located in a bay protected from the wind thanks to its cliffs and their very dense vegetation. The contrast between the pine forest that you cross to reach the beach and the panoramic view of the sea that you discover when you arrive makes it a remarkable, wild, natural, and protected site, an invitation to dream…

It is so nice to swim there. The gradually descending sea bed is sandy or slightly stony in some places.

The few parking spaces along this small street are very busy in the summer. The easiest way to get to the beach is to use the Monaco beach car park further up the Chemin des Bonnettes path. Paying car park in July and August.

Emmanuel’s top choice

Discovering Méjean bay from the sea path is certainly the most beautiful postcard of Toulon. On the right hand side, you will discover colourful fishermen’s huts, close together, overlooking a small marina located between the pine forest with its typical southern French scents and the Mediterranean Sea. In the centre, a beach composed of natural sand, or pebbles in some places, with shady spots to shelter from the sun. Lying on your towel, in a quiet place, you can see the Corsica ferries going to Corsica in the distance, and in the heart of the summer, you can contemplate the numerous pleasure boats at anchor.

Finally, on the far right is a restaurant where you can enjoy typical Mediterranean food, installed on the terrace by the water. And if you are adventurous, you can try the via ferrata on Magaud beach.
